An involved member of numerous associations, Margaret has served in a variety of executive positions, including the Advocates’ Society (president 1996-1997); the Ontario Law Reform Commission (commissioner 1986-1992); the County of Carleton Law Association (president 1987); the Medical-Legal Society of Ottawa-Carleton (president 1988); the Canadian Bar Association National Editorial Board (past chair); the Civil Litigation Specialty Committee for the Law Society of Upper Canada Certification Board (member for three years) and the Thomas More Lawyers’ Guild of Ottawa (director 1984-1987).
