Ms. Frascadore’s practice focuses on litigation, with a particular interest in labour law, commercial litigation and class actions, specially in products and financial services liability to consumers. Ms. Frascadore joined Lafleur Brown in 1983, Gowlings’ predecessor firm, as a partner.
Ms. Frascadore has been specializing in class actions for many years, particularly in diverse financial matters, such as manufacturer liability and consumer law (credit cards, finance contracts). She also acts in all types of commercial litigation. More specifically, she represents administrators before civil courts in cases of liability, stakeholders in matters of oppression remedy class actions as well as corporations against government agencies in licensing cases.
Her expertise also extends to all aspects of labour law, especially in matters of mediation and representation before the labour commissioner. She has also participated in the negotiation of many collective agreements. Ms. Frascadore possesses a particular expertise in matters of labour relations in the construction sector regarding compliance with the diverse collective agreements in effect, the representation of foreign interests and all other aspects linked to unionized workers on a construction site. She has acted for employers in all instances, including civil courts in all matters arising from unionized employees on a construction site.
Ms. Frascadore is a guest speaker for a number of organizations. She is a frequent contributor to the Business Law Review.
