Richard McConnell is the national director of information technology in Gowlings' Ottawa office.

Richard maintains overall responsibility for the Firm's information and communication technology (ICT) assets, with a specific focus on providing oversight over technology infrastructure, information security, IT investments/procurement, and IT service delivery to the Firm’s professionals and support staff.

Prior to joining Gowlings in 1999, Richard was employed as a systems analyst for a global IT company and has also provided independent IT consulting services to the Federal Government, SME and non-profit organizations.
