Bob Hagerman is a partner in Gowlings’ Calgary office, practising in the areas of estates and trusts and tax law with a particular emphasis in income tax and corporate and estate planning for privately owned businesses.
Bob represents clients in a number of industries, including development, holding, wealth management, drilling , engineering and food distribution companies. He has advised Canadian, U.S. and international companies on international corporate tax issues; tax planning for families and emerging businesses; tax implications of mergers and acquisitions, the structuring of inbound and outbound cross-border transactions, corporate tax planning, financing structures, debt restructuring and employee benefits.
Prior to practising law, Bob was a chartered accountant and worked as a tax manager for a national CA firm for three years. Bob has presented seminars to many different organizations and client groups.
