Ron Hansford is a senior partner in Gowlings’ Calgary office, practising in the areas of corporate and commercial law with a focus on matters and business transactions involving oil, natural gas, electricity, and renewable energy industries both domestic and international.
Ron works with established and emerging energy and renewable energy companies worldwide and has represented a number of Canadian and international companies in the development of nearly 1000MW of wind power projects. He provides legal services to his clients in a broad range of matters including financing, commercial, regulatory, aboriginal, and governmental issues.
As a former economist and legal counsel to the then energy regulator in Alberta, Ron has extensive experience on administrative law. He is also a registered trade-mark agent.
