Sharon Mitchell is Gowlings' chief operating officer and a member of the Firm's Executive Committee.

As chief operating officer, Sharon oversees all non-legal services provided within the Firm and is responsible for the business management and operations of the Firm. She oversees and directs all activities relating to finance, personnel, systems, marketing, and space. She directs all client service support activities and oversees the provision of professional development and policy creation within the Firm. Sharon also oversees the administration of the Firm's National Practice Group and Client Service Team programs.

Sharon joined Gowlings in 1983 as the senior administrator in the Firm's Toronto office. She has been the chief operating officer since 1995.
