Simon Labrecque is a partner in Gowlings' Montréal office, practising in business, commercial, corporate, and taxation law. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, business sale transactions, corporate taxation and transactional taxation.

Simon assists in the drafting and negotiation of various commercial agreements for local and international clients, in matters relating to, among others, technology, industry, infrastructure, services, communications and venture capital. Simon also acts in the areas of tax planning and corporate reorganization, as well as commodity tax. He also participates in negotiations with tax authorities and in the development of specific taxation solutions. In addition, Simon practises in law relating to pension plans.

Prior to joining Gowlings, he practised in an internationally known accounting firm for three years. From January 2006 to December 2007, he was assistant-lecturer in entertainment law at the University of Sherbrooke.
