Tina Antony is a partner in the Gowlings’ Calgary office specializing in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, private equity fund formation, and real estate syndication. She serves as a member of the Firm's Corporate Finance and M&A and Technology Industry National Executive Committess.
Tina advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, domestic and international fund formation and restructurings (using limited partnerships, trusts and corporate entities), domestic and international IPOs, hostile takeover bids, plans of arrangements, and other forms of mergers and share and asset acquisitions and dispositions. She works closely with officers, boards of directors, and in-house counsel on matters of continuous disclosure, corporate governance, and securities and corporate law compliance.
By taking a client-focused, team-oriented and cross-office approach to the delivery of client service, Tina sets a high standard for excellence. She combines strong technical and communication skills to provide innovative and strategic legal advice that allows clients to focus on their corporate strategies and achieve their business objectives. Tina leads a national team of 20 professionals that advise and assist an international real estate investment client with its multi-disciplinary legal needs across Canada, the United States, South East Asia and Germany.
In addition to domestic transactions, she has experience with major cross-border and international transactions and financings including two recent public mergers of Alberta-based oil field service companies by an NYSE listed - internationally focused special waste management company, and the initial public offering of one of the Firm’s international oil and gas issuers of its initial public offering in Norway and listing on the Oslo Bors Stock Exchange. Working closely with Gowlings' tax team, Tina recently structured and launched a multi-jurisdictional, multi-million dollar fund into Europe and the US with downstream investments in British Columbia.
In Tina’s corporate finance practice she provides advice on continuous disclosure requirements, corporate governance, executive compensation, regulatory compliance, shareholder meetings, special committees, stock exchange filings, as well as all aspects of law related to the structuring, capitalization and management of corporations and other business entities.

- Clean Harbors Inc., (NYSE - US) special and hazardous waste management, acquisition for $487 million of Eveready Inc. and acquisition of Peak Energy Services Ltd. for $200 million;
- Artumas Group Inc., (International Energy) IPO and Listing on Oslo Bors Stock Exchange. Led the securities team for numerous, multi-jurisdictional securities, bond offerings, and recent restructuring;
- Tullett Prebon Americas Corp. (UK) take-over of OTC Valuation Ltd;
- Glamis Resources Ltd. merger with Breakside Energy Ltd;
- Numerous mergers with Shiningbank Energy Income Fund.
