OUR PEOPLE

Yves represents clients (individuals and companies) in tax litigation matters (civil, penal and criminal issues) relating to the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Québec Sales Tax (QST), the Taxation Act (Québec) and the Income Tax Act (Canada).

Prior to joining Gowlings’ predecessor firm, Lafleur Brown, in 1993, he was Director of Revenue Québec’s Legal department for 19 years. Additionally, Yves has broad experience of appearing before the courts of justice and, notably the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada, the Tax Court of Canada, the Superior Court, the Court of Québec and other administrative courts.

Yves is known as an expert on the subject of tax litigation.

Throughout his career, he has given several lectures on the subject of taxation.
