On March 19, 2012, Montreal Maine & Atlantic Railway, Ltd. completed the sale (subject to regulatory approvals) of its Madawaska-Van Buren-St. Leonard railroad line to J.D. Irving subsidiary Eastern Maine Railway Company for an undisclosed amount.
