Scott Fletcher is a partner in Gowlings' Ottawa office, practising in general corporate and commercial law with significant emphasis on telecommunications, technology and government relations.

Scott is one of the Firm’s authorities in providing corporate and commercial advice relating to strategic alliances, acquisitions, dispositions and privatizations, as well as in general commercial matters. Scott also provides advice on a number of regulatory matters in the areas of telecommunications and the gaming/lotteries industry. In addition, he routinely provides strategic counsel on telecommunications industry based matters, the divestiture of government departments and programs into the private sector, and other corporate and commercial issues.

Scott is the Firm Client Team Leader for a major Canadian telecommunications corporation, a significant client of the Firm. He has served as a director of a number of federal Canadian corporations, and has represented numerous federal Crown Corporations. Scott also serves on the executive of a number of clients and in an advisory capacity for a major Canadian educational institution.
