Tom Hunter

Tom Hunter received his law degree from the University of Western Ontario and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1988. He also holds an honours degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University. A partner with Gowlings since 1995, Mr. Hunter practises in the area of corporate, commercial and technology law and serves as Co-Chair of the Firm's National Technology Law Practice Group. His particular areas of focus include assisting entrepreneurs with startup and growth oriented companies, mergers and acquisitions and all aspects of equity and debt financing. Mr. Hunter was lead Counsel in the creation of PixStream Incorporated in 1996 and led the divestiture transaction of PixStream to Cisco in 2000 for a sale price of $550 million Cdn.
